direction has taken away the "josh" from the movie. The debut launch of "Naga Chaitanya" may disappoint Nagarjuna fans and
will put lot of pressure on Nagarjuna to come up with another flick to prove Naga Chatanya.
The quality of the movie is far away from previous movies made by Venkateswara creations. One way the movie can be seen as
message oriented subject but fails to deliver the intended message.
Story
Hero "Sathya"  (Naga Chaitanya ) concentrates on enjoyment while studying degree in a college. He was a good student in
school days but gets into enjoyment mode after joining college and spoils his life. He thinks enjoyment means roaming, bikes, smoking and pubs. But his college principal observes the capability of Sathya and tries to advise him when ever he gets a chance. But Sathya never listens to him. The college principal role is played by Prakash Raj.
Sathya realizes the value of life after a tragic incident in his life and decides to discontinue studies and he moves to Hyderabad to do some job. But he encounters students gangs studying in MGM college, Hyderabad and decides to get into college life again to bring some change in the students who are getting into trouble by a politician JD Annayya. JD Annayya role is played by JD Chakravarthy.
The story ends with some high drama scenes where students realize what they are losing and teach a lesson to JD Annayya.
Performance
The acting of Naga Chaitanya is not upto the expectations and there is a lot to improve. Heroine Karthika (her name is Vidya in the movie) played a teacher role. She is fond of going to college but her brother did not allow her to go to college because of safety. The romantic scenes between hero and heroine are better. Naga Chaitanya acted better in emotional scenes.
Karthika has lot of energy like her mother and she has good expressions also. She is very tall and has better chances to shine in Telugu and Tamil movies. Her dances are OK.
The screen play and direction are very weak and Naga Chaitanya paid price for acting in a movie made by a new director. Lack of experience of the director clearly observed in the first half of the movie.
Few songs are good but songs may not add much value to the movie. Rain fight is good. The mind game or psychological game shown in "Dhee" movie also the main point taken for the narration of this movie. Comedy is not that good. Not many hilarious scenes are there in the movie. Back ground music is not so good.

Conclusion:
The film is not a high voltage action treat like ’Shiva’ but then there is enough pace in the film to keep the audience busy.
While the first half goes off smoothly without any hitches, the second half gets dragged a bit due to the melodrama but the climax was okay. Overall, the film is not one to leave a strong impact but it sure has a strong message for the college going and the student generation. The technical values were good and the performances were neat. This will be a profit grosser at the box office.

Everyone is well aware that Bellamkonda Suresh is remaking a successful Tamil film ‘Nadodigal’ in Telugu under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions, with Raviteja playing the lead in association with Allari Naresh and Siva Balaji.

The much awaited Tamil First ever super hero movie Kandasamy is being released worldwide in 900 theatres on 21st August.

Starring Vikram and Shreya in the lead cast, Susi Ganesan has dedicatedly made his magnum work a visual treat and in colorful style. Kalaipuli S Thanu has the produced the film without any budget constraints which is evident in the grandeur sets and picturesque locales.

Shreya looks sizzling hot than ever and the man of difference Vikram is treading the path of universal hero in donning different getups for his every venture.

Versatile actor Vikram has become very popular among the Telugu audiences with his film Aparichitudu. After a long gap, Vikram is playing hero, in a Tamil film Kandhasamy which has been simultaneously made in Telugu under the title Mallanna, with Shreya in the female lead.

In the process, he manages to conduct raid on a millionaire (Ashish Vidyarthi) and finds black money. But, the millionaire’s daughter Subbalakshmi (Shriya) vows to take revenge against Mallanna and teases him in the name of love. Mallanna too plays the drama. Due to certain lapses in the plans, Mallanna gets caught by the police and he is forced to accept that he as been playing the drama. But, the police official who arrests him is a puppet in the hands of the millionaire, whom Mallanna raided. So that millionaire puts a proposal that he will not reveal the secret to any one on a condition that Mallanna would share 50 per cent of what all he robs from anyone.

Mallanna accepts the proposal and wants the millionaire to send him to Mexico on a fake passport so that he could collect the money of on another millionaire there and ask him to give his bank account number in Mexico so that he could deposit the entire money there. As per the plan Mallanna collects money and deposits the money in the millionaire’s account there. Later, he asks Subbalakshmi to check the deposit in their account and inform her dad. After Subbalakshmi opens the online account and reveals to her father that the money has been deposited, Mallanna cracks that password and transfers the entire money back

into his account.

Finally, that millionaire tries to take a revenge against Mallanna by giving the tape where he had recorded Mallanna's confession. However, Krishna Rao, who knew Mallanna's activities destroys the evidence. Finally, Mallanna, raids another big shot called AP Pedda Manishi and brings out the black money he stored in his bus. However, the police again arrests Mallanna for robbing the economic offenders. There is no evidence that Mallanna helped the people in the form of money. At the same time, the people who lost the money do not lodge any complaint about the theft. So, the court relieves him as there is no proof of his misdeeds, though it is clear that he admitted the fact on his own.

PERFORMANCE:
As far as performance is concerned, Vikram has given his best performance in his usual manner. The speciality is that he sports different get-ups for the movie which includes a woman’s attire. He sports a character which has 12 different attires. He is quite shrewd in changing his body language to suit the changed get-up and make the audiences spell-bound. Especially the attire as a cock is very attractive. He is good at the songs and also in action scenes. The director of the film has moulded his character well as an officer who, deals with economic offences. His chemistry with the heroine is good as well Vikram has taken the character like a challenge and as emoted well in every frame. Shreya, who plays heroine in this film does not show any inhibition to expose her glamour. Moreover, the 'size zero’ bug has bitten her a lot and she sports a lean look all through the film. She has sizzled in all the songs with excellent dancing skills. At the same time, the heavy dose of exposing, the kissing scenes and romantic scenes with the hero might prevent the family audiences to the theatres. Superstar Krishna has played another important role in this movie and he has done justice to his character. All the others including Ashish Vidyarthi, Prabhu, YG Mahendran and Mukhesh Tiwari have also done well. Brahmanandam’s comedy is average.

TECHNICAL:
Music takes the cake among all the other technicians in this movie. Almost all the songs have become very popular and the audio has been a chartbuster for the past several weeks. Devisri Prasad has given fantastic tunes to most of the songs. Moreover, he has made Vikram render the songs on his own and the experiment has worked out well. Camera work by Ekambaram is okay, while Sahiti has penned the dialogues and lyrics. Though the lyrics are good to listen, they fail to sync with the lip movement. Thota Tharani’s seniority can be witnessed in the sets erected for the songs and for some scenes. Susi Ganeshan, the director of the film, needs to be complimented for penning a good story. However, he has failed as a director after the interval bang. The common audiences cannot understand the calculations and actions of the hero in the second half. Even there are no mass elements to talk about in the second half.

REMARKS:
It is very common that a film which has evoked lot of hype during its making would either be a big hit or a flop. For Mallanna, the second half has proved to be a curse as the audiences feel bored after the interval bang. It has taken almost two years to complete the film and there are high expectations about the movie. However, the film has proved to be a dud ultimately with the entire second half testing the patience of the audiences. You can watch the film if you are a hardcore fan of Vikram, or to see the glamour and romantic dances of Shreya. The production values of V Creations are adequate.

and acted as her godfather for her in Bollywood. But the truth is that Ayesha Shroff, actor Jackie Shroff’s wife did all the hard work to pave Katrina's way into the industry. Like many other celebrities in the tinsel town Katrina has completely forgotten Ayesha and never bothered to keep in touch with her.



Katrina always maintained that her Kaif surname was due to her Kashmiri father but Ayesha did not give much weight to her claim. Once in a particularly blue moon, comes a film that makes you wolf-whistle. One that then ties you to the edge of your seat and forcibly pins you there and pounces on you, eventually leaving you sitting in the dark, drained and grinning and more satisfied than a film has any business leaving you. This, ladies and gentlemen, is that kind of ride.

And way more.

Vishal Bhardwaj reinvents the filmi rollercoaster with feverish glee as he takes a wonderfully twisty plot and paces it flawlessly around a bunch of madcap, irresistible characters. It takes nearly twenty minutes to get used to things, the characters, the words they speak, they way they speak them, and the tone of the film -- heck, to get used to this film's world. Then on, the film just freakin' flies.

Yet before getting into the breakneck chaos, it is this unapologetic figure-it-out stance that we must initially applaud. Too often are our caper films and thrillers compromised by oversimplification and spoonfeeding, by filmmakers believing audiences need things spelt out and giving them bite-sized flashbacks to easily digest each twist. No more, says Bhardwaj, throwing us a delicious jigsaw and letting things fall into place in their own sweet time. The result is startlingly clever, an innovative film with genuine surprises. Kaminey is the kind of film whose success we ought all pray for, because it'll prove smart cinema works.

So delicious is the movie's gradual unravelling that I refuse outright to let you in on the plot itself -- an enthralling tale of drugs, deceit, dingbats and dead-ringers -- because you need to discover this on your own. Go in as fresh as you can, you deserve to taste this one by yourself. Letting on what actually happens would make me one of the film's titular knaves.

Suffice it to say that Tassaduq Hussain, who also shot Vishal's brilliant Omkara, does it more than adequate visual justice, and the largely-handheld film emerges very stylistic indeed. It's fast, funny and constantly rollicking, and the characters are spectacularly entertaining.

As is the cast. Shahid Kapoor plays Guddu the stutterer and Charlie with a lisp, saying f for every s, and does strongly enough to credibly seem like two different people; Priyanka Chopra's delightfully high-strung Sweety pulls off hysterical Marathi with impressive fluency. Yet it is the ensemble of fantastic oddballs who truly make this film special: from Amole Gupte's demented Santa Claus routine as Maharashtra-lovin' gangster Bhope Bhau to Chandan Roy Sanyal's lethally capricious coke-lover Mikhail, from Shiv Subrahmanyam's helpless corrupt cop Lobo to Tenzing Nima's ludicrously likable drug-smuggler Tashi -- the film is full to the brim with splendidly unfamiliar faces, each of whom deserve a hand, not just the ones singled out here.

And Vishal generously gives each character their time in the spotlight. Guddu heartwrenchingly recounts his middle-school love, while Sweety captures beer-driven arousal with charming realism. Bhope bribes a big-eared nephew with chocolate, while Lobo coaxes the stutterer to give a police statement through song. The Bengali gangsters shoot bullets near each other for laughs, while the Marathi ones are transfixed by Guddu-Sweety screensavers on a laptop. Charlie unwraps a cellphone from plastic as he tries to placate gangsters, while -- in an extraordinary moment -- Mikhail sets the screen ablaze as he staggers in on the same gangsters, high on coke and unpredictable as a broken roulette wheel. There's so much to marvel at in these characters that it isn't funny. Oh wait, it is. Very.

What raises this rambunctious gangster movie head and shoulders above its genre is the writing. The wordplay is constant, subtle and absolutely exquisite -- a tough ask when one hero trips over words and the other narrates -- yes, narrates -- with a lisp. And there's a witty duality running through the film's twin tales: a character barks into a phone, and this sound echoes later when someone pleads in front of Bhope, daring not to take his name but just calling him repeatedly big brother, "bhau-bhau"; Mikhail introduces himself to Bhope by calling himself Tope Bhau, and nearing the climax Bhope is told by another that they have 'topein' (cannons) too; when Mikhail wins a race, arriving just in time, he breaks into the Spiderman theme -- and Charlie responds with Fpiderman-Fpiderman. When a character wants to steal a king's ransom in drugs to help a pregnant woman, another snarls back: 'Toh kya meri coke ujaadega?' Ha. It's nuanced, lovely writing, the sort we never get to see in films nowadays.

Bhardwaj has never been secretive about his Quentin Tarantino adoration, referencing the director in Blue Umbrella and doing it here again with high heels and an injection. While Tarantino exclusively uses music he already loves because he doesn't trust anyone to create anything as good, Bhardwaj has always done it all himself, writing, directing and composing -- not to mention singing, and its worth noting the slight s/f lisp he gives the film's magnificent title track when it plays on screen. Yet here he takes a leaf from QT's book and brings back the saucy RD Burman track 'Duniya mein logon ko' (from 1972's Apna Desh) and makes it his own, giving it sassy new context out of its dated backdrop -- no more Rajesh Khanna in a red suit, this song is now all Shahid.

So the film leaps through implied ultraviolence and dark humour and you hold on, exhilarated -- just as you have through, say, Guy Ritchie's Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. And while that itself would be no mean feat, Bhardwaj ups the ante with an audacious climax, suddenly bringing emotions right to the fore.

And while films of this ilk are full of disposable-bodies and corpses-in-waiting, one discovers that Vishal has -- sneakily, stealthily, surreptitiously -- kept the sentiments so darned real that by the time the climax rolls around, you do actually give a damn about these characters.

Wow. Now if that isn't kameenapan, I don't know what is. Awefome.

He is the same director, a debutant who made Yuvatha in which Nikhil has imitated Raviteja from start to finish, exuded energy and was quite successful. The film did well. What if the same person directs the original hero, how will the film shape up, was the question on everyone's mind. Raviteja had absolutely no doubts on the director and even said the movie will be a sure-shot hit. It is beyond everyone's imagination how Raviteja like a rechargeable battery comes up with the same intensity film after film. A restless soul, he keeps the audience hooked to his expressions, antics, gimmicks and does half the comedy in the film.

Unlike other heroes who make the audience wait for entertaining movies, Raviteja had been coming up with films in quick succession and all of them have been a treat to watch. In this film he plays the role of a guy who works for a TV channel whose TRPs keep sinking and suddenly due to a personal calamity becomes an undercover agent, with the help of a reporter in the channel exposes the criminal activities of a home minister, an MLA and a goon who are responsible for the huge set back in the hero's life.

"Eppudaina aayudham avasaram lekunda vadakoodadhu. Oka vela vadithe guri thappakoodadhu," is what Anajenyulu says and beats the pulp out of the villain who ties to stab him offguard. The action scenes are entertaining too. Kota Srinivasa Rao impresses with his Telangana dialect again, Dhandapani, JP, Sonu Sood do the needful.

However the parents-son relationship look a bit unnatural. Anjaneyulu doesn't have a fresh story. We have seen such films before but what makes it interesting is the narration, the screenplay and the consistent energy and entertainment with which Raviteja has packed his performance. Songs are just about okay, technically a fine film and story-wise fun to watch. It has little bit of everything that a formula story demands.

A good beginning for Ganesh the comedian-turned-producer and a few stars more for Parusuram, the director who didn't complicate things for himself or the audience and Raviteja..he has 'kick'-started his career again.

Below Average

Director Ram Gopal Varma comes up with yet another horror and suspense film. This time the film is set in a dense forest in Sri Lanka. RGV tries to come up with a film that tries to entertain while creating fear in the minds of the audiences. Let us see how far RGV has succeeded in his attempt.

Story:

The film is set in a deep forest in the Sri Lankan jungles. A film unit consisting of director, hero, heroine, assistant director, script writer, fight master, cinematographer etc. go for shooting inside a deep forest. They are put up in a jungle lodge and looked after by one Sethu. While the film shooting is in progress, the camera is damaged and the shooting is stopped for some time till a new camera is brought in.

The film crew agrees to go into the deep forest escorted by Sethu as they have to spend time for four days till the new camera arrives. They go into the deep forest. The scene turns scary as the night approaches. The next day the guide in the forest, Sethu is killed by an unknown predator. The panic stricken crew then tries to flee the place but the producer of the movie is killed by the same predator.

The next to die in gory death is the director of the film. The hero of the film is smothered to death by the stunt master following an argument. The scriptwriter commits suicide as he deos not want to be a burden on others after being grievously injured.

Another assistant Sameera commits suicide leaving just the assistant director of the film Sujan (Nitin) and Asha (Priyanka Kothari) to find for themselves. Nitin then takes care of Asha and after telling her that he loves her, he manages to bring her out of the forest. At this time, the director ends the film abruptly with a caption, coming soon 'Adavi � 2'.

Performance:

Nitin looks good in his six/eight packs and he also gets a chance to portray a neat character that gives him a scope to show his maturity as an actor. Nitin also gets a chance to romance with Priyanka Kothari in a couple of dream songs. Priyanka Kothari sizzles in her skimpy costumes and also wears very revealing clothes for a major part of the film.

The other star cast from Gautham Rode who plays hero in the film to Ravi Kale, Ishrat Ali, Harvey, Ishteyak, Rasika et all go about their jobs as per the demands of the script.

The film Adavi by Ram gopal Varma disappoints on many counts. The film is nether scary nor is it filled with suspense as touted by the producer/director. The story is also very simple and has been done many times by many directors.

The forest is dense but it is not scary. The only wild animals that on get to see are a couple of snakes, a monkey and a elephant. The music is average but the background score is fairly good and manages to give the right feel to the film.

RGV ends the film abruptly and it is like watching just half the film. The film is very short and it lasts for just about 90 minutes leaving the audience hugely disappointed. Adavi is a half baked film and it now remains to be seen if RGV can offer something new and interesting in his sequel titled �Adavi-2�.

Adavi is yet another below average fare from maverick director Ram Gopal Varma.

The film Kalavaramaye Madilo is a musical love story with a heavy dose of melodrama and sentiment, particularly in the second half. The first half runs in a very light hearted manner which will appeal to the youngsters immensely but the second half will be a hard to swallow for the college going crowd.

Story:

Shreya (Swathi) is a happy go lucky young girl. She stays in Hyderabad with her mother Delhi Rajeshwari. Shreya wants to become a famous singer and her only ambition in life is to sing one song in the music director of AR Rehman. Shreya studies to become a Chartered Accountant as desired by her mother but her heart is in singing. So she sings in the evening at hotels without the knowledge of her mother.

Kamal Kamaraju is from London on a short trip to Hyderabad. He meets Shreya in the hotel. A old classical singer Vikram Gokhale comes to the hotel along with his close friend and aide Tanikella Bharani. He flares up after listening to Shreya and says that she is a bad singer.

Shreya is enraged. She later decides to learn classical singing from Vikram Gokhalae and manages to persuade him to teach her. On a parallel track Shreya continues to meet Kamal Kamaraju and they both begin to like each other.

Shreya learns that Vikram Gokhale is suffering from throat cancer. He is however determined to teach Shreya and make her realize the dream of singing under AR Rehman. Just when Sheya is about to leave for Chennai to be auditioned by Rehman, she learns that Vikram is her real father. She tens drops the idea of going to Chennai for audition and instead signs up to sing in a competition so that she can win the prize money of 10 lakh to pay for the treatment of her father.

The film then moves slowly to a predictable ending.

Performance:

The film is a Swathi show all the way. While Kamal Kamaraju is the hero, he plays a largely supportive role. Kamal also does not have much to do in the send half. Swathi comes up with an impressive performance and she is sure to bag many meaty roles in future.

Kamal Kamaraju is good and he fits the bill as the friend of Swathi perfectly. Vikram Gokhale as the aged classical singer is the right choice and he comes up with
a restrained but believable performance. Tanikella Bharani as the friend of Vikram comes up with a winning performance. The rest of the star cast is okay.

Kalavaramaye Madilo begins on a promising note and the first half is very light hearted and lively. The second half runs at a very slow pace and is heavy with sentiment. The music is good and the songs and dialogues are quite enjoyable.

The film is a clean entertainer but the heavy dose of sentiment in the second half is a big minus. The film will appeal a lot to music lovers and the older generation. As such, the film caters to only a limited section of the audience.

The film Magadheera raised a lot of expectations as it is the second film of Ram charan. The film directed by Rajamouli and the lavish settings and chase and fight scenes coupled with some good music has also raised the bar considerably. The film however has not completely reached the expectations of the audience.


Story:

Kalabhairava (Ram Charan) is a warrior who loves the princes Kajal Agarwal. Raghuveera (Dev Gill) a cousin of the princess eyes Kajal Agarwal but she is in love with Kalabhairava. Raghuveera plans to marry the princes but in a game to outwit Kalabharava he loses and is sent away from the kingdom. Raghuveer then joins hands with Sher Khan (Sri Hari) a mighty emperor who is out to expand his empire and is planning to attack the kingdom of Kajal.

The princess’ father Sarath Babu pleads with Kalabhairava to sacrifice his love for his daughter and he promptly agrees. Raghuveer who is seething with rage and the humiliation of losing at he hands of Kalabhairava, joins hands with Sher Khan and kills the princess. Kalabhairava is also killed after he jumps off a cliff in order to save the princess. Raghuvver is also killed by Kalabhairava before he jumps off the cliff.

All the four – Kalabhairava, the princes, Raghuveer and Sher Khan are reborn after 400 years. Raghuveer first learns about his past and he wants to marry Indu (Kajal) who was a princess in her previous birth. Kalabhairava is reborn as Harsha. Sher Khan is reborn as Soloman a fisherman. Harsh meets Indu and he also learns about his past after meeting Raghuveer.

It is now a clash once again between Raghuveer and Harsha to win over the hand of Indu. How Harsha goes abut the task is the basis for the remaining part of the film.


Performance:

Ram Charan carries he film on his shoulders. He is good in the dance scenes and horse riding scenes. He also shows ease in the fight scenes and has done some stunning and daredevil stunts without the help of a dupe.

Kajal Agarwal is okay and she looks good in her role as a princess than in her present day avatar.

Sri Hari impresses in his role as Sher Khan. His role is however very brief, both as Sher Khan and Soloman.

The villain played by Dev Gill is a bit weak. He tries his best but still does not come across completely as a cruel and wicked villain who will go to any length to get what he wants.

Brahmanadam appears in a cameo while Sunil plays Ram Charan’s friend in a brief appearance. Rao Ramesh as Aghora and Sarath Babu as the King are impressive.

Music is good and the period costumes and settings are magnificent. The graphics work is impressive.

The best scene is the one where Ram Charan fights with the soldiers of sher Khan killing 100 ferocious soldiers at one go. Ram Charan’s horse riding is good and his jumping on the horse and the helicopter are really impressive.

The remix song Bangaru kodipetta … is the best among all the songs. Ram Charan matches his dad Chiranjeevi step for step and the song also showcases the dancing skills of Ram Charan.

Finally Magadhera is all about horse chases, period settings, sword fights and lavish settings. The story and the villain are the weak parts of the film which is otherwise a visual treat...
